« PLZF, repeats and epigenetic regulation »
Fabien Guidez, INSERM UMRS1131. PhD in Developmental physiology/HDR. He is an expert on epigenetic and particularly on PLZF function and regulation. He was involved in the understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in leukemogenesis induced by chimeric proteins (PLZF-RARA, TEL-AML1). He is now interested in epigenetic regulation using the promyelocytic leukemia zinc finger (PLZF) epigenetic regulator as a molecular model in order to understand the patterning of heterochromatin in stem cells (e.g. hematopoietic stem cell, HSC). After a carrier in England as a PI and team-leader, he received a tenure positon in 2018 (CRCN) in the UMRS1131 co-directing with Pr. C. Chomienne the team « Stem cells and epigenetic regulation ».
